An 18th-century mansion, in the heart of Bordeaux
Housed in an 18th-century townhouse, Maison Fredon blends the charm of traditional Bordeaux townhouses with bold contemporary design. Located across from the legendary restaurant La Tupina, in the heart of Bordeaux’s historic district.
Every detail has been carefully considered to create an atmosphere where classic elegance meets modern comfort. The moldings, stone fireplaces, and antique hardwood floors complement the contemporary furnishings and carefully selected works of art.

Each suite is named after a Bordeaux appellation, transformed into a living character. Landscapes brought to life, striking a balance between subtle humor and elegance.
Margaux embodies feminine grace. Graves asserts its character. Sauternes plays the card of golden indulgence. Oh Médoc surprises with its boldness. Léognan cultivates refinement. As for Émilion, it remains unclassifiable.
The Neighborhood
The Gate of the Monnaie
Just a stone's throw from the Maison Fredon stands one of Bordeaux's most beautiful medieval gates. Built in the 13th century, the Porte de la Monnaie served both as a city gate and as the site where royal coins were minted. Today, it stands as a testament to the neighborhood's rich history, and its intricately carved sculptures and finely crafted masonry are well worth a closer look.
Bordeaux has several of these iconic gates: Cailhau, Dijeaux, Bourgogne, Aquitaine… The Porte de la Monnaie is the one that welcomes you back.
